Hospital Policies

The Emergency Animal Hospital's hours are 7pm to 8am Monday through Thursday. We open at 7pm Friday and are fully staffed and open until Monday at 8am.

The Emergency Animal Hospital is not occupied when we are closed. All patients must be discharged at 8am Monday through Friday. A late fee will accumulate if patients are not picked up by 8am.

Payment must be made in full at the time of discharge. We accept cash, MasterCard, Visa, Discover and checks (with government-issued photo ID). We are not able to offer payment plans and cannot send bills. We are a 100% private business. The Emergency Animal Hospital receives no support through government or charitable organizations. We can only provide our highly qualified staff at odd hours thorugh prompt payment by our clientele.

Patients to be hospitalized require a 50% deposit of the estimate at the time of admission. The balance will be calculated and is due upon discharge.

Pet owners are not permitted in the treatment area except when visiting hospitalized pets. Please understand that our patients are our priority. When visiting your pet, please be respectful of our other patients. We are not able to discuss other hospitalized patients with you.

The Emergency Animal Hospital does not have any official arrangements with Howard County Animal Control. We cannot hold stray animals. We can only see stray animals for emergency treatment or humane euthanasia, if necessary.

Similarly, we are not authorized to treat wildlife. If you do find an injured wild animal, we may refer you to a qualified rehabilitator.
