This young, outdoor cat was pregnant when she got hit by a car. The owner was unaware of both of these conditions until she entered labor. However, because of a badly fractured pelvis (wide arrow), she was unable to complete the delivery. Two of her three kittens were successfully delivered by ceaserean section at the Emergency Animal Hospital. There are many dangers awaiting cats that are allowed outdoors.
It only took a moment for this innocent yorkshire terrier to be pulled away from it's owners and shaken by a larger dog. Aside from being very sore, her only injury was the loss of a large amount of skin across her rump. After several weeks of wound care, she still had large scars covering her back.
